THE PLAN of GOD
Talking about
God’s Plan, first of all we have to understand that His plan is
always good. The Bible tells us that the plan of God concerning us is
always good. “For I know the thoughts
that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts
of peace, and noy of evil, to give you an
expected end. (Jeremiah 29:11)” Very clear stated hear that God has never done any evil
plan to us
Since the beginning of
the creation of the world, God always planned good thing. Everything that
He made was good and perfect. It was confirmed in Genesis 1:31 “And
God saw everything that He made, and, behold, it was very good. And the
evening and the morning were the sixth day.” Looking at the fact
of the world nowadays, however, we could not deny that this world is filled
with diseas, maladies, poverty, and all kinds of
problems. People are suffering everywhere. It seems that there is no more
hope for mankind to get rid of it.
Owing to such condition,
people hopelessly begin to believe that it is God who had predestined man
to suffer or to be happy. Fatalist says that everyone has his own fate and
no one could escape from it. This believe is
surely contrary to the Bible, which clearly says that God has never planned
for man to suffer.
It is the devil who
always trying to oppress people with suffering? In fact God sent His
begotten Son to make a way for man who would believe in Him to be released
from their suffering.
God’s plan is
always good. Jesus bore our diseases, and our suffering, so we can live
triumphantly in Him. He made His plan because God is good. God Bless You.
1. God’s plan unchanging
Thought the world is
constantly undergoing a transition from one stage to another, and human
existence is marked by countinuing alteration,
but God is One who does not change (Malachi 3:6). With God there is no such
mutability.
Hebrews 13:8 says that He
is ever the same yesterday, today dan forever. It
then could be clearly seen here about His consistency. He is truly a
consistent God!
Because He is
consistent, there is definitely no alteration in His plan. Since the
beginning He created the world, His plan remains the same.
Nothing and even nobody
could change His plan. His plan is absolute.
There are of course some
benefits of the unchanging plan of God.
a. In God there is dependability
We can depend upon Him
completely. He is trustworthy. His Promise, his Word and everything is
trustworthy. Whatever His promise is, He will surely fulfill it. He never
changes nor fails His promise and His own Word.
b. In God there is dependability
Every disobedient will bring
punishment, on the contrary, every obedient will bring blessing! There is
neither mixture nor confusion about it. Nothing could influence his plan
nor change it. It cannot be denied that the world is full of injustice . There are many instance where disobendient turn to bring blessing and the vice versa.
However, He is still a just God, whenever a man humble
himself to him and confesses his/her sins, He will surely forgive and bless
him/her.
c. In God every of His purpose will come to pass
Because His plan is
good, so whatever His purpose is always good. Nothing could hinder nor
cancel this purpose.
Praise God, His good
plan is unchanged.
2. God’s plan is holy
Holiness is the foundation of God’s nature
(Isaiah
43:3); it is the background for
everything else we may say about God. In Isaiah alone it is mentioned some
thirty times about God as “the Holy One.”
His plan is a holy plan.
There are expressions such as “holy calling (2 Timothy
1:9)”; “holy apostles and
prophets (Ephesians 3:5)”;
“holy nations (I Peter 2:9)”;
“holy city (Rev. 21:2)”
Through His holiness there are:
- Plans of purity
His plan is always pure. God has never
planned anything that is unclean or impure. There is no such thing as some
wrongly believed that God also planned for Adam and Eve to fall into sin,
on the contrary, God always wants that His people to be a pure and holy
people (I Peter 1:16).
- Plans of righteousness
Righteousness is an aspect of His holiness
that highlights the moral dimension. God is a God of total integrity and
uprightness (Psalms 25:8). He gave them his laws and ordinances (Exodus
19). So the people will walk in His way of righteousness. But there is a
consequence: that when the people depart from His way, punishment must
follows, for God righteousness cannot tolerate any unrighteousness in man.
On the contrary, every obedients will bring
blessing!
Praise God, He always plans for our good!
3. God’s plan is perfect
Because God is the Perfect (Matthew 5:48), so His plan also is a perfect plan (2 Samuel 22:31 ; Psalms 18:31).
In the greek the word perfect
is “eleioz” means
“complete, whole, successful”
Learning the perfectness of
God’s plan, we have to understand that :
- God’s plan is
without blemish
Human’s plan is imperfect, but
God’s plan is without blemish. Deuteromy
32:4 shows that His works is perfect.
- God’s plan is
successful
His plan never fail
and nothing could fail His plan, too. Because of the perfectness
of God’s plan, nothing could hinder whatever He has planned for. The
fall of men into sin is not His failure. Although Adam and Eve has failed to fulfill God’s plan, but His plan
still prevailed. Through Jesus Christ the failure of men is recovered, so
who is willing to believe in Him will be saved.
Praise God, He always plans for our good!
